Can NDIS participants use Smoothmoves?

Self-managed and plan-managed participants can generally choose registered or unregistered providers. Smoothmoves can provide a quote for moving, packing, unpacking or storage where the participant or their support team has confirmed the service is suitable for their plan.

Can the NDIS pay for removalists?

In some cases, removalist costs may be considered where the support is needed because of the participant’s disability support needs. Smoothmoves does not decide this and does not guarantee funding.

Can you invoice my plan manager?

Yes, where the participant is plan-managed and the plan manager confirms they can process the invoice. We may ask for the plan manager’s name, email address, invoice requirements and any approval or purchase order details before booking.

Do you guarantee that my move will be covered by NDIS?

No. Smoothmoves provides removalist services and documentation such as quotes and invoices. We do not approve funding, provide NDIS funding advice or guarantee that the NDIS will cover a move.

What if my plan is NDIA-managed?

If your plan is NDIA-managed, you generally need to use a registered NDIS provider for NDIS-funded services. Smoothmoves is not currently registered, so we can only assist if the service is paid privately.

What should I check before booking?
