Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the Smoothmoves "Every Point Counts" promotion. By making an eligible booking, customers agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Promotion period: 9 July 2026 – 30 August 2026 Maximum discount: 15%

This is an independent Smoothmoves promotion. It is not sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, affiliated with or associated with any official rugby league body, team, venue, sponsor or rights holder.

2 Promotion Name

The promotion is called "Every Point Counts".

3 Promotion Period

The promotion applies to eligible Smoothmoves services carried out between 9 July 2026 and 30 August 2026 inclusive.

For clarity:

  • Services carried out before 9 July 2026 are not eligible.
  • Services carried out after 30 August 2026 are not eligible, unless the delay was caused by Smoothmoves.
  • The date the customer pays their deposit does not affect eligibility, provided all other eligibility requirements are met.

4 Eligible Customers

This promotion is open to B2C customers who book an eligible Smoothmoves service within Smoothmoves' standard service area.

To qualify, the customer must:

  • Book an eligible Smoothmoves service for a service date between 9 July 2026 and 30 August 2026 inclusive.
  • Complete the booking (including deposit payment) by 25 August 2026, 23:59 AEST.
  • Accept a Smoothmoves quote.
  • Pay a deposit of at least 10% of the quoted amount.
  • Meet all other requirements in these Terms and Conditions.

The promotion is limited to one use per person.

Employees, contractors, agencies and immediate family members of anyone directly involved in the promotion are not eligible.

5 Eligible Services

The promotion applies to the following Smoothmoves services:

  • Removals.
  • Packing.
  • Unpacking.
  • Mobile storage, excluding the monthly storage fee.

For mobile storage bookings, the Every Point Counts discount applies only to eligible non-monthly-storage charges, such as applicable labour, delivery, pick-up and other eligible service charges. The monthly mobile storage fee is excluded because it may be subject to a separate Smoothmoves storage promotion.

6 Discount Calculation

The final discount percentage is based on the point margins in the 2026 NSW v QLD rugby league series.

For each completed game, Smoothmoves will calculate the absolute point margin. This means the difference between the higher team's final score and the lower team's final score.

The final discount percentage is calculated as:

Average absolute point margin across all completed games, rounded up to the nearest whole percentage, capped at 15%.

Example:

Game 1 margin 12
Game 2 margin 6
Game 3 margin 6
Average margin 8
Final discount 8%
  • The maximum discount is 15%, regardless of the average point margin.
  • If the average point margin is exactly 0, Smoothmoves will apply a 5% discount.
  • If one or more games are cancelled, abandoned, postponed beyond the promotion timeline, or otherwise not completed, the discount will be calculated using the completed games only.
  • If no games are completed, Smoothmoves will apply a 5% discount.
  • Game 3 will be counted if it is completed, even if the series result has already been decided before Game 3.
  • The final discount percentage will be calculated and published by Smoothmoves after the final completed game.

7 How the Discount Is Applied

  • The discount will be applied to eligible charges on the customer's final invoice.
  • The discount is applied before GST.
  • The discount is calculated on the final eligible invoice amount, not the initial quote amount.
  • If the scope of the service changes, the discount will be applied to the final eligible charges only.
  • No promo code is required.
  • The discount has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • There is no minimum booking value and no maximum dollar discount, subject to the 15% discount cap.

8 Exclusions

The discount does not apply to:

  • GST.
  • Tolls.
  • Parking.
  • Insurance or protection products.
  • Fuel levy.
  • Stairs, heavy-item or difficult-access fees.
  • After-hours surcharges.
  • Third-party costs.
  • Packing materials, including boxes, tape, bubble wrap and related materials.
  • Monthly mobile storage fees.
  • Any service or charge that Smoothmoves reasonably determines is not an eligible service charge.

9 Rebooking, Cancellations and Changes

  • If a customer cancels and rebooks, eligibility depends on the actual service date.
  • If the rebooked service is carried out between 9 July 2026 and 30 August 2026 inclusive, the promotion will apply, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
  • If the customer changes or reschedules the service to a date after 30 August 2026, the promotion will no longer apply.
  • If Smoothmoves causes the service to be rescheduled to a date after 30 August 2026, the customer will keep the discount.
  • Standard Smoothmoves cancellation, rescheduling and payment terms continue to apply.

10 Other Promotions

This promotion cannot be combined with any other promotional discount, voucher, loyalty offer or special offer on the same eligible charge, unless Smoothmoves expressly agrees in writing.

Where a separate Smoothmoves mobile storage promotion applies to monthly storage fees, that separate promotion may apply to the monthly storage fee, but the Every Point Counts discount will not apply to that monthly storage fee.

11 Availability

All bookings are subject to Smoothmoves' standard availability, operational capacity and service area.

Smoothmoves does not guarantee that every requested service date will be available.

12 Data and Communications

Smoothmoves may collect and use personal information provided by customers in connection with this promotion, including name, email address, phone number, suburb, moving details, quote details and booking information.

Smoothmoves will use this information to:

  • Administer the promotion.
  • Prepare and manage quotes and bookings.
  • Apply the discount.
  • Communicate with customers about the promotion and their booking.
  • Send marketing communications where the customer has consented or where permitted by law.

Smoothmoves may use service providers, including email marketing, CRM, advertising and lead-generation platforms, to help administer the promotion and communicate with customers.

Customers can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Customers can contact Smoothmoves at info@smoothmoves.com.au to ask about their personal information or to update their contact details.

13 Independent Promotion

This is an independent Smoothmoves promotion.

The promotion is not sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, affiliated with or associated with the National Rugby League, Ampol, NSW Blues, QLD Maroons, Queensland Rugby League, any match venue, or any related bodies, sponsors or rights holders.

Any references to NSW, QLD or the 2026 NSW v QLD rugby league series are descriptive references only and are used solely to explain how the promotion's discount is calculated.

14 Changes to the Promotion

Smoothmoves may amend, suspend or cancel the promotion if required due to operational, technical, legal, regulatory or force majeure circumstances.

If Smoothmoves makes a material change to these Terms and Conditions, it will take reasonable steps to publish the updated terms.

15 Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies a customer may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.
